Prepare for the 2026 Midterm Election with Greater IC’s Voter Guide

Posted October 14, 2026

As the Midterm Election approaches on November 3rd, Greater Iowa City, Inc has created a Voter Guide to help you learn more about the candidates and issues on this year’s ballot. Early voting starts today in Johnson County.

While Greater Iowa City, Inc. is a non-partisan entity and does not formally endorse or donate to political candidates, we do encourage our members to be informed about issues and vote for business and community-friendly candidates and initiatives when they go to the polls.

Click here to view the guide.

At the front of our Voter Guide, a Voter Toolkit is included, where you can register to vote, locate your polling place, view a sample ballot, see information on how to vote early, and more.

In addition to providing informational profiles, we asked candidates running for local, state, and federal offices to answer what they hope to accomplish while in office, how it will benefit the business community, and how they promote bipartisanship and work toward collaborative solutions.

The guide also includes information on three ballot initiatives that Johnson County residents will have to decide on, including the Kirkwood Community College Bond, Johnson County Jail Bond, and Statewide Constitutional Amendment.

We hope these resources provide valuable insight on candidates and issues so you can feel confident and well-informed when casting your vote on November 3rd. Elections matter. Make your voice heard!
