North Liberty Targeted Economic Development Grant Program
Greater Iowa City, Inc., in partnership with the City of North Liberty, has launched a new grant program to support the city’s small business ecosystem and attract new investment. The North Liberty Targeted Economic Development Grant Program offers up to $10,000 in funding for tenant improvements and home-based business upgrades, creating opportunities for entrepreneurs to grow, relocate, and revitalize commercial spaces. With $85,000 available on a rolling basis, eligible businesses are encouraged to apply early and take advantage of this strategic investment in North Liberty’s economic future.

The Ambassador Program at Greater Iowa City, Inc. helps individuals get more connected to the region while supporting local businesses and community initiatives. As an Ambassador, you represent Greater Iowa City’s welcoming presence and help create a strong first impression for new and growing businesses. Ambassadors welcome new members, attend ribbon cuttings and events, and serve as friendly points of connection. The program is designed to fit alongside full-time work and is best suited for people who enjoy showing up and building relationships.
Located at MERGE in the heart of downtown Iowa City, The Business Resource Center is offering expert guidance and support free to anyone who owns a business or is interested in starting one. Designed to empower both start-ups and established businesses, the BRC provides services in financial management, legal compliance, marketing, IT, and more. Walk-in consultations and one-on-one sessions with experts deliver comprehensive, tailored support for entrepreneurs.
