Greater Iowa City, Inc. is excited to welcome two new staff members.

With these recent hires, Greater IC is strengthened by a full team of ten talented professionals on staff. Following several staff transitions this spring, including retirements and employees pursuing new opportunities, the organization has successfully filled all open roles and is well positioned to advance its mission.
Leppo joined Greater IC in July and leads the planning, execution and continuous improvement of Greater IC’s events. Her role is central in creating high-quality, engaging events that connect business and community leaders. Leppo is currently spearheading the planning for Greater Iowa City, Inc.’s Annual Meeting, overseeing the coordination and execution for our organization’s premier yearly gathering. This year’s Annual Meeting will take place at the Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center on November 18th. Sponsorships will be made publicly available for the Annual Meeting next week.
A Colorado Springs, CO native, Leppo most recently served as the Iowa Heartlanders Hockey Team’s Director of Game Presentation & Partnership Fulfillment. Prior to that, she served as Assistant Director of Ed Robson Arena at Colorado College. While at the school, she was promoted multiple times during her four years, reflecting her leadership and contributions across event planning, operations and marketing. Leppo lives with her fiancé Austin and her border collie-terrier pup Cheeseburger in Coralville.
Fine joined Greater Iowa City, Inc. in June and oversees content development, digital platforms, media relations and brand management for Greater Iowa City, Inc. He was most recently the Director of Communications & Broadcasting for the Iowa Heartlanders. While with the Heartlanders, he was named 2024 ECHL Broadcaster of the Year and was a finalist for the league’s Media/P.R. Director of the Year the last three years. The Syracuse University graduate moved to Iowa City in 2021 and lives with his fiancée Kate and golden retriever Molly.
