MERGE Iowa City was designed to foster collaboration. Throughout the coworking space, business leaders, entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations and remote professionals create opportunities for conversations that spark new ideas and partnerships. MERGE offers daily passes, meeting spaces and offices in a prime location: the Ped Mall of downtown Iowa City. Currently, there are 267 active members at MERGE and 14 private office spaces.
Greater Iowa City, Inc. also manages CoWork @ 808 in Coralville, which has 78 members and five private offices. Becoming a member grants you access to coworking at both locations.
There are benefits to joining a coworking space as a business or as a remote worker, including flexibility, a sense of community, a strong opportunity for networking and increased productivity.

Meeting Space Highlights
MERGE and CoWork @ 808 each have a living room and meeting spaces that are ideal for teams to connect and brainstorm with high-speed internet, complimentary coffee, whiteboards, TV monitors and HDMI connectivity.
MERGE serves as a central meeting ground for Greater IC’s Innovation Councils that provide strategic direction on Community Development, Business Support and Economic Development in Johnson County. Additionally, the MERGE living room hosts weekly 1 Million Cups meetings, quarterly entrepreneurial lunches, and the annual conference ENTREfest, which helps entrepreneurs looking to build connections with our community.

Business Resource Center Demand Grows at MERGE
One of MERGE Iowa City’s cornerstone offerings is the Business Resource Center, a complimentary service that connects entrepreneurs and business owners with experts in financial management, legal compliance, marketing, IT and other critical areas of growth. The BRC was the brainchild of Greater Iowa City, Inc.’s Business Support Innovation Council, which recognized the need for a centralized location where entrepreneurs and business owners could connect with trusted organizations, receive expert guidance, and gain access to resources needed to start and strengthen their businesses. Complimentary BRC appointments are available by visiting this link.
Since opening in fall 2024, the demand for the BRC has continued to grow.
The center hosted 14 business appointments during the final three months of 2024. Momentum accelerated quickly in 2025, with 124 appointments during the first seven months of the year, 198 appointments throughout the 2025 calendar year, and 146 appointments already this year.
Greater IC has empowered success for locally-owned North Liberty businesses by providing business mentoring and support at the BRC. As part of the North Liberty Targeted Economic Development Grant Program, businesses awarded funding are currently participating in ten hours of education and support with Business Resource Center experts, receiving guidance on financing, marketing, workforce development, innovation, technical assistance and other key areas that support long-term growth.
If you’re looking for business resources, collaborative workspace, or meeting space for your next event, we encourage you to discover what the Business Resource Center and MERGE Iowa City have to offer.
