A signature data initiative this year resulted in a new interactive Community Data Dashboard and online hub for business climate and quality of life data across Johnson County and our peer comparison counties that reflect similar population and employer composition (many with university or large medical facilities). For every data point in the Community Data Dashboard, we have similarly collected for the 7-county region: Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn, and Washington counties in a Regional Data Dashboard. This dashboard will help us understand how Johnson County stacks up in the region, what role it can play, where challenges are shared with other counties, and where new collaborations can emerge.
