Where to shop on Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday is an event that began in 2010 as a way to encourage people to shop at small businesses during one of the biggest shopping weekends of the year. When you shop at local businesses, your money stays in our community. It works harder to create jobs, support local initiatives like the Childcare Wage Enhancement Program, and create a place with the abundance of experiences that we enjoy.

Check out greater Iowa City’s centers and markets of locally owned businesses to celebrate Small Business Saturday on November 25th.

Iowa City: Enjoy free transit and free parking in the downtown ramps, while shopping in Downtown Iowa City and the Holiday Pop-Up Market on Small Business Saturday.

Coralville: Check out the Iowa River Landing’s Black Friday + Small Business Saturday guide for shopping, food, and family activities.

North Liberty: Explore local businesses though an Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt. Pick up a free elf guide at the Recreation Department, visit the businesses to find the elves, and complete the guide to get a special prize from a grateful Santa Claus.

West Branch: Enjoy holiday shopping at a small town, eclectic mix of gift shops, boutiques, and specialty shops. The shops, cafes, and restaurants are coming together for Small Business Saturday in historic West Branch.

Lone Tree: Shop the Winter Market and enjoy family activities at Lone Tree’s Winter Fest.
