A Toast to Business 2026 Recap

Last week, Greater Iowa City, Inc. welcomed more than 200 business and community leaders to A Toast to Business at the Graduate Iowa City. The annual awards celebration recognized businesses, individuals, and organizations whose work strengthens the local economy, develops talent, and drives business growth in Johnson County.

Across four award categories, honorees represent what makes the regional economy function. From small businesses with deep roots and rural entrepreneurs to employers shaping the next generation of talent and scaling their businesses, the award winners make our community stronger.

Greater IC President and CEO Nancy Bird framed the evening’s purpose in her remarks:

“A Toast to Business was created to honor the businesses and leaders who drive economic growth, create jobs, uplift neighborhoods, and make our area a vibrant place to live and work. Through these awards, we hope to celebrate great people and the spirit of entrepreneurship and creativity that defines our community.”
