Sustaining Our Trails and Landscapes: Why the Conservation Bond Matters.

Our Land - Our Water - Our Future - Vote Yes! Nov 5

This November, Johnson County voters will have the opportunity to approve a $30 million Conservation Bond, aimed at continuing and expanding the successful conservation efforts initiated by the 2008 bond, which provided critical funding for land preservation, water quality improvement, and outdoor recreation projects across the county.

Greater Iowa City, Inc. fully supports the Conservation Bond and encourages the community to flip the ballot and vote “yes” this November. This bond will help preserve Iowa’s natural beauty and expand our trail systems, enhancing the quality of life and attracting workers to the region. These projects not only enhance our outdoor spaces but also drive future economic development, as seen with the Hoover Trail connecting Solon and Ely.
